Role: Export Packer
Location: Redditch
Rate: £10.92p/h (overnight work is higher basic rate)

About us: IM Export have been designing and manufacturing bespoke timber cases, crates, and pallets since 2004. Since then, we have expanded our export services to offer packing, cardboard, storage, consumables, and Freight Forwarding. We have major customers across all sectors including medical, industrial, aerospace, and automotive.

The Role: As an IM Export Packer you will prepare and package goods in a manner to withstand all external action normally encountered during lifting, handling, shipment, and storage. You will carry out all packing functions as required to agreed standards with a timely and accurate process. You may be required to complete other business activities on behalf of the company from time to time in line with competencies and experience. As IM Export carry out on-site packing projects you will be required from time to time to work away (placements can be anywhere in the UK and accommodation and overnight allowances will be provided)
The Duties:

Packaging of all equipment in a manner to withstand all external action normally encountered during lifting, handling, shipment, and storage.

Strapping and stretch wrapping of goods to protect from ingress of moisture & dirt.

Foam lining, bubble wrapping and foil bagging to protect in transit, from bracing pieces.

Locking-down machines, securing goods to bases using brackets, as necessary.

Ensuring cases are correctly protected by shock and tilt indicators.

Ensuring all cases etc are marked as per industry standard.

Ensuring cases are correctly marked and stamped where heat treated timber is used.

Ensuring all tools used are clean and work properly.

Ensuring work areas are kept clean and tidy (keeping scrap to a minimum wherever possible).

Ensuring compliance with airline security regulations

Reporting damage & defects in machinery, tools & equipment in accordance with internal procedures.

Co-operating in packing workflow in accordance with Production Management team.
Your Requirements:

Practically minded and basic DIY skill essential. Full training will be given to all candidates.

Export Packing experience preferable.

Forklift licence preferable.
-
Full (clean) driving licence preferable.

Detail-orientated, thorough, mindful of safety protocols and quality requirements, team player and dedicated.
